Iris 'Jane Phillips' Siris ?

Iris 'Jane Phillips' Siris ?

Could this be 'Jane Phillips' as it's totally different from the other stem I put on which was dark blue? It would appear to be one and the same plant but obviously not.

Yes, this is Jane Phillips. I have just relooked at the other picture, that is what I call early blue. Sometime one rhizome will expand to grow on top of another. Mark the flower stems and about 6 weeks after the flowers have finished you can dig up and tease the rhizomes apart.

Lovely, is a fragrant type?

Yes, if it is warm enough to smell the scent.

Well I didn't know that Siris. I've never thought to smell them just look at how pretty they are. How stupid am I.

Your photo, Thorney, shows clearly the simple beauty of JP.
Not all Iris have a noticeable scent.
