The Japanese painted fern. This likes a cool, moist position in shade where it grows up to one foot tall. Looks good surrounded by lush green foliage

Hello again, I have just bought something simular to this one too, mine is A. x Branford Beauty. which is a cross between The painted lady fern, and American lady fern. Any tips you can give on this one please Andrew - sorry to be a pest. :-)

I've not come across Branford Beauty and it's not in my books so it may be a new cross. Pictum only gets about a foot tall and I find it does best with a little bit of shelter
