English Bluebells

These beauties have been slow to emerge as they were underwater for a while. It's been quite wet and cool so they are just getting started. Posted for Amy.

They've as good as finished up here, i love our local bluebell wood. I'm slowly managing to eradicate the masses of accumulated spanish bluebells which the previous owner presumably planted. They're a real pain in the butt. Those thousands of little bulblets everywhere I dig

LOL..M! take them out and parcel them into little gift packets and give them to visitors! or put them on a table at the gate with a sign "Free to a good home!" LOL...

Thanks for the sugestion Lori but nobody here wants them, as they are a seriously agressive hybrid which everybody is now trying to get rid of. They hybridize with the native english species which is now in real danger of being wiped out.

that is a real shame. I'm sorry to hear that. I have just posted my latest pic of my ENGLISH bluebells...lol. finally some colour. it's been dark, cold and rainy that last week or so...forecast says we will see clear skies and temps in the 20's starting tomorrow and for at least the next 5 days. I can't wait!
