My framing method... I get the framer to make up several different sizes, all in natural wood- and then put paintings in them and see if they are worth really framing. I have even painted the frames gold and silver. Silver looks great on certain ones, and gold can kill a painting. Gold demands, silver forgives.

That's interesting, Posy. Mine are all in natural wood, which suits my watercolours (and me!).

I know what you mean Wells. A frame can so easily enhance or kill a picture.
