Looking up the garden

You're very kind :) (Sadly, won't be here for much longer as - all being well - we're moving house later in the summer.)

What a gorgeous garden I'd love to walk in it. I bet it helped to sell your house...so sorry you won't be enjoying it much longer. I hope your new garden matches up...or even better??

Thanks Julia - yes, the first couple to 'view' decided they wanted the property, so it never made the open market. I shall be sad to leave my sanctuary, but the next garden is a blank canvas for me to play with . . .

Oh how exciting! Don't forget to keep us posted. I don't envy you the move though...too much stress for my liking. I said when we moved to our present home they would take me out in a pine box lol!

I know Julia, and with Chronic Fatigue I'm told to avoid stress!

Deligate as much as possible Sheila.

Good thinking - just wish our sons weren't so far away (one in Falmouth, the other in Australia!). OH has 'delegated' to me the decision over which furniture will go where . . . hmmmm

That's so typical of a man...you could delegate to the removable men...when do you plan to move?
16 Jun, 2017
It's all the decisions that I hate. The move will hopefully be in about two months time . . . nothing signed yet.

Hope all goes well...

Thanks. We had a second viewing yesterday, measured the garden (square of grass edged with overgrown shrubs) so I'm 'designing' in my head and feel more positive :)

Sheila I hope you love creating your next garden and how lucky your buyers are to inherit your beautiful spot.

Thank you Chris . . . I'm allowed to take my favourite plants, so that will help in the challenge to create a new, hopefully attractive space.

Oh,I almost missed this Sheila..and what a lovely vista you have, but I'm sure your next garden will be equally as lovely, when you get your designer head into gear..which will probably be almost as soon as you arrive !! Lol..I would be quite happy to be in charge of the furniture arranging,to be honest, than leave it to my OH ! :o) Just bear in mind, all your memories will go with you..and you will have lots more to create...xx

Thank you for your lovely comments, Sandra, you're so generous. Yes, I've started trying to 'design' already, without knowing exactly what I'm doing, lol!

Exciting times ahead Sheila ... will you be potting up favourite plants and/or shrubs to move with you?
23 Jun, 2017
Yes Shirley - that's exactly what I'll be doing in a few weeks time. They'll have to stay like that for a while, until new beds are dug . . .
23 Jun, 2017
They will be fine Sheila ... I have 'been there, done that' so to speak! :o)
23 Jun, 2017
So have I ,and they all survived..all through a horrid cold winter, till spring...some we brought with us,the remainder were 'on holiday' in a neighbours garden.we didn't even have a garden to speak of,till then,as it was a new build..like Shirley says, they will be fine Sheila..:o)

Thanks Ladies . . . I can't quite bring myself to say "they're only plants . . " as they mean a lot to me :)

Sheila, when we bought our current place there was grass up to three sides, a long border across from East to West with two pathetic Camellias and a concrete post for the washing line! Hmm, things have changed quite a bit .....

You don't get better garden views than this one, I always like to see it.
