Yep, they are sap suckers but the damage these cause is negligible, but mass numbers is another story. Luckily we have plenty of birds and things that eat them.

Oh yes, that's a fact. Just the other day, a mockingbird saved me from a giant blood-sucking mosquito. He swooped down and snapped him up in mid-flight with pin-pont accuracy. I was amazed.

Wow! That much have been quite a sight! I've only seen chicken hawks swoop down and catch other birds.
