Well done for a first....I lived in Wimbledon as a child...a very long time ago.

Mum used to take us to Wimbledon Park with the bandstand in, practice tennis courts, a play area. I remember there was a lake there where I used to feed the ducks and pond dip with a net and a jam jar tied with string. She took us to Wimbledon Common too where there was a windmill where we had a cup of tea and ice cream.

We had the fair to go to once a year on the common, and we used to go blackberrying up there as well. Mum used to make jam.
