Clinostigma harlandii - Maman Palm

Maman Palm is a very beautiful tropical palm native to Vanuatu in the South Pacific. This tree had gotten very tall over the years. It must be almost 25' now. The other palm trees around it are huge. Photo taken at the San Diego Zoo on July 25, 2017.

There's several species of palms in this area. The larger fan palm to the left is Livistona australis (Cabbage tree palm).
