It's actually golden-yellow. Spathodea campanulata (the species) is orange-red.

It would probably look better if it had been clear. I preferred it to cloudy. especially when I was walking around the zoo. lol!

I went to night-time zoo, which is only during the summer. In December for Christmas they have festival of lights.

I bet you loved that must of look fantastic at night with the lights. You should of taken photos to show us all.?

I think I may have posted pics years ago. They used to have the Festival of Lights at the much larger San Diego Zoo Safari Park in Escondido (30 miles north of the San Diego Zoo). It's more than 2,000 acres. The animals run wild.

The Safari sounds wonderful but I don't think I would be getting out there at the Safari to take pictures lol.
