Turkscap Lily

I read somewhere that the turkscap type are not so affected by the lily beetle - is that true?
It is a gorgeous one.

I don't know, Green finger, but it is much later than most of my other lilies and hasn't been touched. I have a turkscap cultivar variety 'Fairy Morning'which flowers quite early and has been destroyed by Lily beetle this year.

Ah, so that must be the answer - like daylilies & the midge, choose the later flowering ones to avoid the beetle.

I am beginning to think that might be the answer. Also these fill the gap in flowering now the day lilies have virtually finished and the Asters haven't quite started.

Yup, L.lancifolium I reckon.
Pot the bulbils up as soon as they snap off with light pressure and they'll be in bloom in 2019.

I have masses already in pots. There's a limit to how many Lilies a girl can have!
