We pruned back the espalier apple trees yesterday.

Thanks Wildrose, I cut this rose back hard every year and it grows wild with lots of lovely scented roses on it. The bees and Hoverflies love it.

The rhubarb and apple crumble was delicious with some ice cream but non left now. Until the next yum-yum pudding...probably jam steamed sponge pudding made with some of my sister's home made blackcurrant jam....

Sounds as though have enjoyed your self with the yum yum lol ice cream I cannot eat so no tease there ☺ nor jam as much as I like it nor to much salt sugar tomatoes and fats not even crumble sad to say even though I love crumble.

Sorry to hear that Thrupennybit, Hope there are some foods you can enjoy. A friend of mine has to be careful what she eats.

I think its when we get a certain age Lindak
I know some woman can't eat wheat either I get an acid stomach heart burn through not producing enough acid in the stomach I know vineger helps digestion but not to much.

Goats milk and cheese is more digestable than cows. I used to keep two goats, but now buy the milk from the stores. I like the cheese as well.

Thank you Lindak for that I use to buy goats butter until there was a scare of TB I shall try the milk and cheese.

I used to have some fun keeping the goats Thrupennybit.
They produced plenty of milk, and sometimes I made soft cheese, ice cream and yoghurt with the excess.

It must been heaven Lindak having your own produts I bet they each had their own personailty to must of been wonderful keeping your own goats. I wish I could of lived on a small holding keeping my own animals.
