Fruit starting to form on my Chilean Guava. Will turn bright red. No idea of the taste yet, one for me, one for him, (no me) and looks like another lurking behind.

I only bought and planted it this February, so surprised I have some fruit. Hope the birds do eat them before they are ripe.

Well, I went out to take a pic of mine for you and guess what...no fruit to be seen. :( It's these sparrows, there are sometimes about 60 of them in my garden at once. My Arbour seat is absolutely covered in poo. I've had to cover my blueberries with fleece, but I think I'll just give up and let them have the fruit as they look so unsightly in their jackets. I think I'll have to learn to love those darned Spugs!

60 sparrows, blimmy that a roost full, you don't stand a chance. Just noticed my comment, hoping the birds eat!! missing the n't off don't. Looked again at the plant for some cutting material and there are a few more berries behind. Think I will put a piece of netting over the plant.

Don't get that many Sparrows in the garden, yesterday saw why.......a female Sparrow Hawk flew into the conservatory glass......luckily recovered and flew off.

I have this Sue. Quite a lot of fruit forming on mine this year. I tasted one last year, but it wasn't really ripe. They are much smaller than I expected when I bought it. :)
