Pale blue Agapanthus

Pale blue Agapanthus (Agapanthus umbellatus (African blue lily))

These hardly flowered since I put them in the ground so earlier this year I dug them up and put them in a pot that was only just big enough and 'Hey pre presto' flower heads as big as dinner plates. They do like to be pot bound don't they.

I had the same experience with my white one years ago. Once in the pot it flowered its socks off every year.

Must do that with my white one, haven't seen it this year, only leaves.

I've heard this too (Monty was on about it) but although I moved mine into the garden, they're still flowering...Mmmm,

Perhaps the roots havent yet realised they can move out Julia!. I'm hoping mine might flower next year. They are growing well in their pot. This one is a lovely pale blue.

Karen, if they realize and stop flowering...guess what I'm going to do?..

What else?

See who else is growing Agapanthus umbellatus (African blue lily).

See who else has plants in genus Agapanthus.
