What a pretty flower to shame its not a good year for the Cacti to flower Hywel I use to keep mine on a west upstairs bedroom window I never thought it would flower behind net curtains and facing west but it did my grand daughter has it now on her bedroom window in a ground floor flat facing west and it still flowers.

Yes, west or south facing is best for them because it gets most light. Many like a bit of shade like a net curtain because they grow naturally in among scrub and bushes.

Thank you for that Hywel you learn some thing new each day I never thought about them growing amongst scrub and bush in its natural environment.
