Litchi chinensis - Lychee

This relatively small tree had no fruit. Sometimes they have alternate bearing years. It's a slow-growing tree which is a very long-lived tree native to South-east Asia. Photo taken Sept. 5, 2017 at Quail Botanical Gardens.

Yes, it's related to Longan or Dragon's eye. The fruit tastes very similar, also.

Yes, Lychee is a beautiful tree! I know you need to buy a large tree. lol! I know, as we get older we want instant mature trees.
