Always Penny. Usually Anna's ..but lately the Ruby throated have overwintered too. I had a feeder for them..those little guys were sending me to the poor house as I was buying bags of sugar all the time.
The wife loves watching them from the kitchen window.

You are so lucky Stan to have both . lol yes we would nt want you in the poor house how would we get to see your plants. Your wife is a very lucky lady getting watch them from the kitchen window. I cant put feeders out any more as it attract rats into my garden from the church yard next door.

That too. Feeding wildlife is nice but always backfires. Rats, mice come to the best neighborhoods for all the free sunflower seeds set out for Mockingbirds and Jays. I've seen them do that in the pricey Oakland Hills. Then, you get Possums..like I have that ate a summers growth of Impatiens, and a few years of Maidenhair fern's growth.
I got to trap that guy. Or gal.

I have my mums Maidenhair fern shame they ate yours and your Impatients so glad you trapped that Possum.
