Such a great idea and display

A very original idea I thought! We needed some more original ideas as the last few years the flower beds have been a bit boring!

During the last week, they have been emptied to make way for the winter/spring bedding. I thought they would take the dingy away but, no, they have left it. I'm now looking forward to what they will plant in it for the winter/spring. Like it had blue Lobelia planted around it to represent water during the summer I imagine they will plant blue Forget-Me-Nots for the spring! I'll let you know what they plant there in the next couple of weeks.

I tried to find out what the name was all about but couldn't find anything that made any kind of sense!

Yes some creative udeas there and agree firget me knots would be apt.

Still no sign of new planting yet. We went past this display this morning but the gardeners haven't put anything in the boat yet.

The Council gardeners have now planted up something in the boat itself but from the bus on Thursday & Friday (2nd & 3rd November) I couldn't make out what. Where I thought they would plant Forget-me-nots they haven't planted anything at all! It just bare soil - for the present. I can't imagine they will leave it this way but for some reason it's been left unplanted.
