Daphne calcicola - 2017

Dense, evergreen bush that usually needs a bit of light pruning to prevent it from becoming leggy. Needs a sheltered site, carries bright yellow flowers in May-June (but it has got a little confused).
There is some doubt whether this is a form of D. aurantiaca. They are very similar, but D. calicola is smaller. However, it only grows on poor soils in the wild which may stunt its growth.

Pretty yellow flower I can see there bet it looks wonderful when in full bloom.
