Love them. Hi Dd yes the one on the middle is (Ive always believed to be) C. midwinter fire. To the left is Physocarpus opulifolius darts gold, to the right Ribes. I brought it as a standard.

Oh! That looks more like Cornus mas aurea, which I do have two of Dawn...n the Golden border. Midwinter fire has reddish orange and yellow stems in winter...does this have that colouring? Cornus Mas has acid yellow flowers in late winter.

That is the first time I have ever seen Cornus Midwinter Fire as a standard!!I that's unique Dawn, and not easy to create!

It's not C mas Karen, I have one on the new lady, this doesn't flower, it does have orange/red stems, I will take a pic in a few weeks.
Its nice DD as the canopy is raised.

Well then, as Angela says, quite unique to be a standard! :) nice!

I've never seen a standard Cornus, makes it look like a small tree - unique as DD says.

Well now I have my doubts, it's odd its a standard but in every other way it's Midwinter

I was looking at the winter images on Google & they really do look like the 'burning bush' - very distinctive.

What is the tree in the middle? I am assuming Midwinter Fire is either side of the yellow tree?
