Buttercup

Different to ours Bathgate. Yours looks more like our Hypericum.

Humm interesting names. We call Hypericum "St. Johns Wort"

Some people here call it that too Bathgate. I won't say what we call buttercups when they're creeping their way through our gardens! I see now that it' a very close up photo. The Ranunculas repens can creep it's way round the garden before you can blink.

You might be right though, I've been in some 'heated' conversations on here where both parties thought they were discussing the same plant, but it was two different plants that shared the same name. This photo is from a public park near my house. "Buttercup" includes over 400 species.
