Do you remember me writing a blog on this particular plant? The original plant was there for many years but a year ago it had become so overgrown & so top heavy it kept falling off the shelf! So I emptied it out & just kept a few of the healthiest outside pieces & threw the rest away.
Never having been so drastic with these plants before I wasn't sure it would survive. I filled the pot with fresh compost & planted it up & they have never looked back since! ?

You cannot beat a good Spider plant....we have one in our kitchen, I am always forgetting to water it, it is hanging from the ceiling!

It is so easy to forget forgiving plants like these as they put up with lots of neglect yet still survive.
My two plants have never looked better than during the last year. I've always watered ALL my plants with tomato fertilizer during the summer but this year I had a whole bottle of the general purpose one, as well as the tomato one, so I thought I would use it & keep the other just for the tomatoes & it turned out to be the best thing I could have done for them!
Next year I will use the general all purpose fertilizer for most of my plants instead of the tomato fertilizer!
