Hi Hywel, I used to have a large tree, but now I have a small one that is highly decorated, and I like to have some sparkle in the window. I have a crib set too that is on my dresser. I have written a Christmas poem for our service on Sunday evening, and am writing the rest of the Christmas cards later...Our town has it's Christmas lights stretched overhead, across the roads, and they usually have a large tree in the market place. Christmas is coming fast.....

That all sounds great Linda. It must be nice to have your poem read out in a service.
We don't put many decorations up these days, Beryl being so disabled it just adds to the amount of work I have to do, and I find it difficult enough coping with things as they are without putting up lots of decorations.
I do have an old crib scene though, that a great aunt gave me when I was little, so that will go up, and Beryl wants to buy a small new tree, if she will ever come out to get it ... she hasn't been able to go out since September, so maybe I'll have to get it.
Have a lovely Christmas Linda :)

Put the tree up, and the decorations, as they say it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!...well done on the poem.....clever you!

Sorry to hear that Beryl isn't managing to get out Hywel. It must be very hard for you both. I remember when I was almost housebound with agony from my knees before my operations and just after I had them both done, that Gerry was doing most things for a while. Now at least I can get out and about again. Hope you both enjoy the small tree. I only have a 3 ft. one now, but it's covered in decorations, and I have placed the crib set underneath.
Yes DD the tree is up....the days fly past and before we know it.....turkey....Christmas pudding.....

Thank you Linda, I remember when you had your knees done. I'm glad you can get about now :)

I put the tree and decorations up this afternoon as it was too cold to be outdoors!

We had our 50 plus club yesterday and I wrote a mini panto of Cinderella for it. Each person taking part, read from a script and did a little acting. I choose the people coming in for the parts. Green wig for one ugly sister, pink wig for the other. One or two pieces of kit for each player for the ten minute panto.......Last year it was Snow White and the year before Aladdin.
