This tree is so commonly grown along the freeways here. It loves dry conditions and flowers so well. This is an orange variety...it's available in white, pink, orange and scarlet flowers. Photo taken in Balboa Park, San Diego on Jan. 1, 2018.

Yes, it is. This tree usually doesn't like to be a lawn tree. This one looks very good, though.
