Look at the bed though, so untidy, Karen, yours is so neat, if I win the lottery (I don't even do it) I would put a thick bark mulch all over all the beds.

Funny! I was looking at the good bark mulch on line yesterday, and even for my little garden I would need about a thousand pounds! Back to the weeding for me. My SIL has a big garden which she put the bark on and it made a huge difference to her weeds...they just didn’t get through it.

Your bed looks fine Dawn...we can’t see much wrong from this photo. Im itching to get on with weeding but its just too cold to work outdoors, and has been since the start of November.

Soooo expensive Karen and it's not like it's a once and for all job is it, would be nice though, your SIL must be thrilled. My beds aren't great close up, I get quite a bit of moss too. I've planted a few new plants and weeded one bed today but it's cold and hailed earlier, the lighter nights are a bonus but I'm fed up with winter.
