Thanks Dawn. These took several goes to get in focus rather a deep flower.

Some flowers just don't want to be photographed do they?

Wonderful colour combination....

Unusual colour, that gets lost in the border. Mine are at the front edge of the path, which also allows the long strappy leaves to flop onto the path rather than over the Iris border.

You caught the picture great. My camera doesn’t like red flowers, colour never comes true.

Think Hermodactylus has been changed back to Iris genus recently, anyway I take seed each year as it germinates easily and takes about 3 years to flower.

You’re very patient Siris.
So cold isn’t it, even in the south I hear.
We have a week’s worth at least :-(

Patient only for gardening, I'm prepared to wait, not an 'instant' gardener. Just put a seedling pot of these, 3 flowering, into the garden. Ice on the pond this morning.

Satisfying somewhat, ice! Noooo
