Hello, lol!

I don't post many pics with me. It was a beautiful day at the SD Zoo. We had so many months this winter of very warm to hot weather. The last two weeks have been cold (for San Diego) and with a little rain here! I'm wanting the warm to hot weather back! We're so spoiled here in San Diego! lol!

Oh yeh, I think everybody eagerly awaits the nice warm sunny days. Here it comes in dribs & drabs. A winter storm is always possible until mid April. I notice lots of things popping up in the garden. Not sure what they all are but that's the fun of it.

I bet you're waiting very patiently. I can't imagine not having warm to hot weather during winter (we get a lot of winter heat waves; however, they don't last every day through most winter). Next week the weather should get back to warm again.

I love surprise plants that pop up in my yard! I see an umbrella tree (Schefflera actinophylla) popped up in one of my baby queen palms (Chamaedora plumosa) in the front yard. I have lots of Jacaranda seedlings coming up this year, also.

A bird must have brought it in. How's the drought situation in San Diego? Is it officially over?

No, the drought is definitely not over. San Diego has only officially received a little more than 2 inches of rain this whole rainy season (and that's including the rain that came in yesterday early morning). We are going on water-restriction come April 1st. AGAIN!!! :>(((

It's highly unlikely San Diego will receive a lot of rain so late in the rainy season (which ends next month). The only way possibly we may receive lots of rain fast, is if a "Pineapple Express" or now what they call an "Atmospheric River" sets up. That's the only way California can receive many inches of rain in a very short period of time.

No, Pacaya palms are really tropical. They are native to the southern most areas of Mexico into Central America's tropical rain forest.
