Blechnum gibbum - Dwarf Fijian Tree Fern

Such an attractive tree fern wish we could grow this over here...

It probably would grow outside most of the year there. It loves a lot of water. It's not hardy; however, does best in cooler, shaded conditions.

I've killed so many in years past. This one is more than 10 years old. It's the longest I've had one growing without dying. lol! It cannot dry out even for a little while or it'll die!

This one must love the condition where it is. Same you ve lost others . I can see why you love it.

This fern has lost all it's fronds a few times at the end of summer. Even under this shade structure it gets too hot for it and end of summer and fall.

My ferns loose theirs to but always return your lucky this survies .

This is an evergreen miniature tree fern. It just doesn't like our hot, dry autumn weather. It need copious amounts of water constantly.

Keep the watering up Andy would be a shame to loose it.

It get bath water every day. Now, I've been giving it rain water. It loves it!
