Moraea aristata

Nice! I need to try some Moraea but the greenhouse is full. Once Dietes bicolor has bloomed that will free up some space.

I tried them from seed, and they grew very fast. The bloom time was quite long because I didn't deadhead or trim anything. But I also have D. grandiflora which are in bloom now. But speaking of the Iridaceae family, this year I already have seedlings of 3 types of Cypella and of Calydorea coelestina - South American natives. B&T World may be a little expensive, but they have excellent seeds. I also got 3 types of Tigridia from Rare Plants in the UK.

D,bicolor grow fast here but still no blooms!
My Calydorea bloomed in the first year here.

Ditto my Dietes bicolor, never flowered.

They are supposed to start flowering in the Northern Hemisphere from the end of next month and through the summer.
