This winter seems to be relentless! At least SOME nice days come along now and again!

I think I shall have to find some kind of protection for mine in future. This has never happened before, but it may happen again. Cloches are so expensive, but so are good Hellebores, and i’ve been waiting 4 years for them to mature, only to have them ruined. So I think needs must.

Ours looked like this, but have recovered well, but they are sheltered by large shrubs and a fence....

Mine have been buried 3 times now, but they still recovered apart from the odd 'burnt' bloom.

This is becoming a more frequent scene this winter! Even I had my troughs full of Daffodils & Crocuses on the balcony covered in several inches of snow on March 3rd!

Good to know it is recovering. I dread the thought that it will be a white Easter.
