Grackle

Interesting - never seen one of those before. Our UK blackbird is a completely different family and the male has a bright yellow beak. It also has a lovely song - does your grackle sing?

I've never heard them sing, or even make a peep. Not like the noisy Blue Jays. They are very quiet birds. However, their gorgeous jet black feathers gives a colorful sheen that is very distinct.
