sitting on her clutch of blue eggs. OK, she wasn't thrilled about me snapping her picture and chided me like nobody's business. She chose a good location deep inside my black spruce tree.

Oh she is. I try to talk calmly to her and gave her a pan of fresh water - she has all the bugs & worms she could hope for. She'll only permit me up to a certain point.

Lovely photo Paul. Robins do get attached to people, especially when digging, they go after the insects and worms. When I was a child...a very long time ago I sometimes stayed with my nan and granddad overnight, and a robin used to come in through the back door into the kitchen and gets some crumbs.
