First Hemerocallis flowering. (Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus (Lemon Lily))

I think this is lilioasphodelus, hiding in an Aquilegia.

No Dawn, I've had this years. It's a very old variety. Over the years I've bought some, and been give some from relatives and friends, am growing a couple from seed crosses (as an experiment).

Like the lily poking through the Aquilegia. On purpose, or a surprise?

The Aqueligia is a self sown seedling. I didn't see the Daylily at first because of it.

Will do, don't expect anything great, haven't got the variety of material available as parents.

I like these trumpet Hemerocallis. H.citrinus is almost in bloom here.

I like the flowers of Daylilies but there always seems a lot of foliage, takes up a lot of space in a small garden.
