I agree Stera..a great nuisance and very strong rooted too! This one looks very pretty and you could use those flowers in a salad...lovely!

I was always told that our wood sorrel was poisonous - seems my Mum was mistaken?

Stera- these yellow ones are rather small - I just used my zoom lens and I just snacked on a few plants that were invading my tomato patch. They are suppose to be highly nutritious. It's OK to consume in small quantities, unless you have kidney or gastrointestinal problems. It contains oxalic acid.

That's interesting. Our wood sorrel is rather smaller than that, and white. I looked it up - yours seems to be Oxalis stricta, whereas ours is Oxalis acetosella.
We do have a yellow one here too, O.corniculata, smaller and with red leaves (which has yellow woodsorrel as its common name) And it is a great pest to gardeners - one of those very small plants that pops up everywhere - paving slabs, containers etc.
