I will give it a go. How would I get them through the winter. My greenhouse isn't heated, so put them in the conservatory?

That's super! Go on, take some cuttings.

Lol. I'm going to try Waddy. The one that I got through the winter was a hardy one so a bit worried about getting the cuttings through winter. Oh how's your pigeon problem going?

You could overwinter the cuttings in the house Jen - an unheated bedroom or boxroom would be fine, or you could keep them growing in a warmer room as long as they get enough light.

Still here, Grrr! but at least they can't get to flatten the plants as much as they did.

Thank you Paul, I love fuchsias but never had any luck with them till I joined here.

Paul, will admit it was Howel who inspired me. Still didn't trust myself so only bought cheap annuals from the supermarket, normally only around a pound but fingers crossed that they come back this year, I now have 6 growing. Sorry for any typos now or later, I try and reread but still miss a few 😂. My left arm still doesn't always do as it is told since the stroke 😂

Go for it Jen - they root easily in water at this time of year.
Just pinch out any flower buds that may appear so they don't waste energy on them.Cut just below a pair of leaves and remove the lower of the remaining leaves.
