New gardening term? - mingle, I like that word.

Wish you could have seen it in bright sunshine.But photos don't seem to come out well - guess I ought to learn more about the camera...

I always have my back to the sun when taking photos this is what my dad taught me .

So do I but never get good results in bright sunshine. I know I could compensate if I got round to finding how , but I would have thought that on the automatic setting it would have done it on its own.

Yes I would of thought the automatic setting would have done it too. I was told recently by a proffesional photographer who has a lot of Warwick university students round to get a good capture of a red sun set to turn the settings to darker to get the real red glow. I know a lot of photographers wait for dusk late afternoon or early morning to get a softer more truer colour.

True - that's what I did, but I really wanted the bright wow factor that thrilled me in the sunshine...never mind, can't win 'em all.

Yes I ve had trouble in the past capturing that sunshine on the garden so I try to take at all angles if I dont get it I try on another sunny day if we are lucky to get one.

I do like Alliums and have quite an assortment. So reliable and last well.

Regarding taking photos, don't try in bright sun! take very early morning, or late afternoon, or not in the sun at all!!
Regarding the mingle, Spritzhenry (Barbara Oats) coined this phrase, she was always good with her mingles, she is on FB now!!

I miss her news and the pics of her lovely garden - and dog... I never put my news on FB but do look at a few other peoples from time to time.

I do too, I am on FB but only casually, more on Instagram really!

I've never looked at Instagram so have no idea what it does
