my oregano is the old standard and it's bustling along even in the hot dry weather.. The flowers are beautiful on this hybrid... who are it's parents, Amy?

I'm it's mummy Lori Ha ha . seriously I've no idea there isn't any info. on the plant label , there's quite a lot of information about it on Google a site called .....Pacific Horticulture Origanum Beauty of the Mountains ... it makes interesting reading ..

Thanks Amy! ... will take a look. 👀
O. dictamus x O. sipyleum ... what a beauty!
I thought at first glance that it looked like hops... and found reference to it's resemblance on the site. Eyes haven't completely gone yet! 👍 Wonder if it's possible to find O. Amanum? From it's description I think it would be worth a try: "One of the most beautiful plants that can be grown." ..."never, he says, (Roy Elliot) was propagation devoted to a better cause."
"O. amanum is herbaceous, and its disappearance in winter may lead to premature decisions about its demise. In the warming days of spring new shoots appear around the old plant, which itself also eventually shows new signs of life. " Elizabeth Rollins ~ Pacific Horticulture Society.
