Sorry Marguerite, but I don't know the breed, which is embarrassing because I come from a farming family and grew up on a farm! In those days there were limited breeds in England, but over recent years there have been a lot of imports from Europe. I think these may be a French breed of some sort. It is lovely countryside with lots of good walking. Not our paddock unfortunately. We live on the edge of a small housing estate in a village, with a small garden, but the countryside is only a short walk away.
