Saw this plant in the dry garden at RHS Hyde Hall, also Acaena inermis purpurea, liked them and now have managed to buy.

It nice when you find and buy the plant you ve seen else where .

Saw a Rhodiola heterodata at RHS Hyde Hall, but not seen that for sale.

Oh I'll have to Google that one.

I like them best when not in leaf, remind me of root ginger.

I'm hoping it stays evergreen and survives if kept dry overwinter.

Mine is as tough as old boots, comes through all winters

That's good to know, was concerned about winter wet.
