That's very disappointing. Hope it recovers. Can't give this one a like!

Thanks both, It is, I've had trouble with them really since I've had them and its a shame because they send up loads of flowers (not so many this year yet but I did move the largest plant of 3) but just not surviving the slugs. Not 100% it's the slugs this time but am going to investigate further and have been drenching with garlic :-0

Morning Daylily
Needs full sun on the stem helps harden them up they dont like being crowed out by other plants , I have had the collapsed stem when grown in part shade , and you know how quickly the stem grows over 3 or 4 days

Hello Daylily, I split two clumps of Kniphofia rooperi a couple of weeks ago, they were desperate and for the last couple of years had only one or two flowers. I got so many plants! Have replanted some of them back in the same area, full sun, dryish soil and they're looking strong and perky. I cut the leaves like you would irises when replanting. I'm not expecting flowers this Autumn...but who knows??
