Some just have impact in a border. This must be one.

Sometimes the doubling shows up from the start, other times it takes 2 years. It should be even better next year. But it has really nice separation of the petals, and it does qualify as a UFO, Pinched Crispate.

It certainly does Siris it's in the nursery bed at the moment but due to be moved autumn , a old gentlemen who often stops while walking his dog spotted it the other day and had to come for a closer look.

I have another which is puzzling me from a cross of Alpha Centauri x Purple Cheetah I kept it as it had a lovely purple almost blue tinged watermark this year the last 4 or 5 flowers are becoming increasingly double now don't know where it gets that from , I looked a little way back in its parentage but no sign of doubles , no flowers open today but if the next ones the same I'll get a picture .

Your double could have gone wonkie from having a conversion from DIP to TET (Starman's Quest) in its parentage. The trouble with daylily seedlings is that they will do something one year, but not the next; until they finally settle down.
