Hemerocallis Brown Witch X. For SIMBAD (Hemetocallis)

Simbad, this is seedling 1 of your cross Brown Witch x unknown. I am sure unknown was a Double Fluva plena or Kwanso as seedling 2 is just like Kwanso. Haven't bothered to photograph seedling 2 as it's coming out.

I like these narrow petaled forms - nice result!

Is the other a double then Siris assume so, would you believe it though Brown Witch is in the daylily bed well away from Kwanso which is in a bed on the other side of the garden,to vigorous for the daylily bed ,all those daylilies and the bees picked one all that way away !

Spot on Simbad, the other seedling is Double and just like a Kwanso. When I put in the garden, I just put the 2 seedlings , undivided with the soil, straight in a planting hole. Think I'll take both out.

It is very nice but not as nice as Brown Witch , I always try to think that when I look at seedlings is it better than either parent ? doesn't always work though and I've kept some uglies, that will be composted this year ,I must be getting ruthless lol :-)
