The Bumble bee looks as though he is having a good feed from your Marigold flower.

He's certainly hungry - maybe has a lot of mouths to feed?

Bees take the nectar and pollen back to the hive to feed to the larva. Pollen gets stored in cells near to the larva as well so they have a food source. Any excess nectar gets passed on to other bees where it gets changed by bees into honey. They have to get the excess water out of the nectar before it becomes honey in her stomach. By exposing a drop at a time on her tongue, the water evaporates from the nectar and she swallows the nectar again, repeating this task until it turns into honey. Too much of a process to explain but I've tried.
