This is the countryside just up the road from where we live.

Beautiful view.

Just a short walk from our bungalow we can go for a walk along a path and see all of this. There is a lane that runs along the bottom that is part of a walk that we do from up here along the roads...about 3 miles that we are going to do this morning.

That's great its a short distance from you. I love going down country lanes it must be a lovely peaceful walk.

We just have to be aware of any cars travelling along the lane Thrupennybit. Some drivers are careful and some drive too fast. If an animal jumped over a wall for any reason into the lane, I hate to think what might happen.

Yes I noticed in the news a local was speeding down a lane and clipped a lady riders husband but headed towards her on the horse and sewerved clipping her OH walking at the side of her riding he was on his mobile phone. I know what lanes are like I use to live on a farm.

That's awful Thrupennybit, I hope the lady's OH is o.k. People ought to switch off their phones when driving.

I thought the same when reading the news it was nt any where near where I live. I thought it worse the driver was a local man to the area.

It's very pretty here in Derbyshire, and over the last few weeks we have had a raven flying over. It croaks like a frog when it calls. We have lots of different birds.
