Sorry i can't make it tonight we have our son and his teenage boys staying with us on holiday , I've just made a huge apple & blackberry pie for desert ... I'll check out your recipe for another day ..

Apple blackberry pie! Sounds yummy! especially after dinner with coffee. I love chilli stuffed peppers draped in melty sharp cheddar cheese. There are so many variations. You can make them your own way.

Our yellow peppers have done well Paul....They are lovely in a ratatouille with courgettes, mushrooms and tomatoes too. We freeze our extra peppers. Our tomatoes have finished now, and they have cropped well too. Must be a good year. When you cook different veg it's good to be inventive as you say Paul. I have been making apple crumble with the apples that are beginning to fall, and I put demerara sugar in with the crumble to make it crunchy. However small a garden, one can always grow a few veg or have espalier apple trees in it.

Sounds delicious Linda and very healthy eating - good for the body & soul. Apple crumble sounds very nice. I found that apples & cranberries work very well together in pies or pastries.

I do like cranberry juice Paul, and have a small glassful every day.

That's very healthy. I take a glass to calm an upset stomach or if I get food poisoning.
