I took the berries off of my large Fatsia back in the spring and put a handful in a tray in the greenhouse on top of some walnuts (from Christmas)and I have to say I forgot about them. I had only 2 berries from my 'Spider's Web' planted in a small pot which are just green seedlings and no berries from my variegated but I have 3 seedlings showing signs of their colour from my old green plant.

Briliant, you can have a little woodland! Fingers crossed that one or two will develop variegation as they grow!

Thank you. My one big problem is I love growing things from seeds or cuttings.
The shame is that the heat crisped up the leaves on the variegated one but I'm hoping it will get some new ones.

So many they look great in a tropical garden.

My original green was cut back to a couple of feet because of the heat which saw it losing leaves and looking pretty droopy. My 'Spider's Web' which is in shade of a laurel looks ok but my variegated in the garden has lots of crispy leaves. I have a backup green about two feet high and a variegated about the same height, both from cuttings.
