Trachycarpus spruced up!

Trachycarpus spruced up!

Has been looking rather bedgraggled and in need of a hair cut.....We removed some of the lower fans which had turned yellow and cut off any of the stalks closer to the trunk. Some of the large clusters of fruit had turned brown and were ready to be cut off too.

Thank you for the nostalgia, and long may your Trachycarpus flourish!
This reminds me of the very first "palm tree" I had ever seen. I was 11 years old.I was a bit worried that it had "spoons" instead of long "proper" palm branches but you can't think how thrilled I was. The "furry" trunk was a big surprise too.We were "down south" in exotic Bognor for the very first time!
