It is so pretty, isn't it? I have only recently become jaded about winter... and by recently I mean the last 20 years..lol. I loved winter and counted all the week-ends for skiing..there never seemed to be enough. Time has changed all that, I'm afraid. Now, like the bears, I just hibernate and read blogs on GoY, of course.

I can imagine you would need to enjoy those long snowy months, do you use sledges and skis now to carry things during the winter Lori?

I used a small sleigh to bring wood out of the bush last winter... but no sledges. Much too heavy for one old woman and I don't have a snow machine. (stinky noisy things IMHO) When I had my knee problems I gave up skis in preference to snow shoes. I have a small pair which are light and manoeverable but my balance is still a little off so I just don't go out when the snow is very deep.
