They're going to look lovely, Amy. The Cercis canadensis Forest Pansy was one of my first three too, a lovely contrast to all the 'greens'. Great choices!

I had two Liquidambar in my old garden which only grew to about 4 feet . . . maybe they don't like clay?? Gorgeous leaf colour though! Hope yours likes your soil, Amy :)

Grown up Ryan is in Reykjavik hoping to see the Northern Lights Dawn ,he's not so little anymore :o))

It's quite a tree. You will get the flowers first on bare wood, then the foliage. I had to cut mine down because it got way too big for it's space (my mistake).

It should top out at 30 feet h x 30 feet w. Not huge, but I had it too close to my Red Maple which is hogging the whole back garden.
