The hummingbirds generally nest really low to the ground. The last couple of years some of the hummingbirds' nests have been destroyed by either crows or rats. :(

What a shame let's hope their nest stay in tact this time.

The babies have flown the nest, already!

The hummingbirds start nesting in mid-January by early-to-mid-March they're gone from the nest.

That's good news that the hummingbird babies were reared safely !

oh that's good news. will they return to the nesting area to raise their own broods? what a delight!

There's so many hummingbirds in my area. They love to make their nests very low to the ground. It really surprises me! The Ficus, Bottlebrush, guava and magnolia trees are the most popular places for them to nest.

Let's hope the birds eventually return to make more nests.

They always do. :>)) My neighbor's bottlbrush tree is a hummingbird hotel. lol!
