I am surprised this one opened Linda yes they are better in bud if you have had snow we have cold wet and very windy here. My others are tightly closed with the exception of one flower one each that opened ages ago strange really as every year it is only one flower that flowers way in front of the rest on each one I have I just can't get to them to take a photo of them so I always wait for the rest to open where I can take a photo.

That's a pretty one 3d. Mine is alost fully out and the weather is awful, wind and rain. I have had to move the pot to a sheltered corner here half its beauty is hidden. First time its flowered so well too...

Thank you Steragram same here with the weather. Do you prune yours? The American cut back the leaders and cut so there is gaps so a bird can perch between the branches not sure if this makes the flowers come out to be seen. I know they love being pruned only cut above where there are two leaves one each side of the branch.
Yes they do well in pots as long as you keep an eye on its drainage that it does nt get blocked by roots etc I had one in a pot some years back grew to 5 ft. Your lucky it's potted up so you can move it to shield it from the ekements.
All mine now are in the ground. This one is in a very windy place I find hard rain does more damage its the smallest flowering one I have.

Thank you 3d - I didn't know they respond well to pruning.
Mine will have to take its chance in wind and rain when its finally planted out. The only place sheltered from early morning sun faces SW so it will have to do its best...

Yes I ve pruned mine many a time straight after the flowers have finished. Some years ago on here one American man use to cut his with a hedge trimmer his was loaded with flowers some thing I have never tried.
I have 3 facing South West and 3 facing North if I recall right it's the east they don't like which would be morning sun.

A very delicate shade of pink and I also like the size of each flower. Lovely.

Mine isn't this far on as yours, but considering we had snow this morning it is just as well.
I like the pale pink.
